Creating Effective Educational Environments

Learning centers are our passion: Architecture created for the purpose of educating students should be designed to facilitate and enrich the learning process.

Its mission and purpose should be abundantly clear... successful educational facilities must provide an environment that allows students to learn effectively and efficiently.

It is imperative that educational buildings designed today have the vision to accommodate current technologies and flexibility for change yet to be conceived. They must be safe, healthy environments. And further, they must assist our students as they develop academically, physically, and emotionally in order to prepare them to be functioning, caring people of the world.

  • “In summary, I have more faith in this architectural firm than any other that I have dealt with during my 10 years as superintendent of the Kirkwood School District, and affirm their skill in using community input to develop effective and innovative architectural plans.”

David Damerall, Superintendent, Kirkwood School District

  • "I feel that this firm's integrity is above reproach. In all of my dealings, I have consistently found the firm and their team to be very professional and anxious to serve their client in the best way they know how. They are not hesitant to make recommendations on project design, but are also always open to listen to the owner wishes and incorporating those wishes into the project design."

Marvin L. Patton, P.E. Director of Physical Facilities, Missouri University of Science and Technology Rolla, Missouri

  • "Impressed with their professionalism, attention to detail, thoroughness, and enthusiasm, the Archdiocese will continue to use Dickinson Hussman for future work as may be appropriate."

Thomas W. Richter, Director of Physical Facilities, University of Missouri - Rolla, Rolla, Missouri

  • “Excellent expertise and service beyond anything we have experienced in the past with an architecture firm. This firm not only gives attentive service to projects but their major strength, quite possibly, is their ability to communicate clearly and understandably with the client."

John C. Cary, Superintendent (retired), Mehlville School District
